Happy Wednesday, everyone! Today I am so excited to bring you a DIY project (with FREE DOWNLOADS!!), in collaboration with one of my favorites Boxwood Avenue, that I personally LOVE and definitely do incorporate into my home, events, and parties.
Disclaimer: I am not a huge fan of the overdone typical monogram. However, I do fully believe a little personal detail here and there, done in a nice way, adds a warm touch! The lovely DIY maven, Etsy shop owner, and beautiful Instagrammer Chloe of Boxwood Avenue and I teamed up to bring you the design, materials, and easy to follow instructions for this project.
Before we begin, I HAVE to share with you something pretty hilarious. I rushed home after work to take photos before it got too dark, rushed around trying to take photos…. and WIPED OUT SO HARD. Fellow bloggers: do not try to take photos on one foot, on a chair, on your tippy toes… you will do a half backflip over your chair and almost break your arm. My fiancé was not as amused as I was about that.. but hey, I saved the camera (insert crying laughing face!).
Alright, moving on… let me show you some of the ways you can incorporate a simple monogram into your decor.
Tea Towels. I love this look because it isn’t gigantic and it adds a bit of personalization in the kitchen, where often times we don’t see much! Bonus: use these same tea towels from your kitchen to dress up your tablescape for fancy dinners.
Muslin goodie bags. This can be used in a variety of ways: small gifts (maybe even dress up a gift card?!), wedding favors, or travel jewelry bags!
Pillows, throw blankets, beach bags… pretty much anything CAN be monogramed (but perhaps not everything SHOULD be monogrammed ;)).
So, how do you do it? Head over to Chloe’s post on her TAP Paper tutorial. She has super helpful tips, online resources for resizing, the materials you’ll need in her Etsy shop, AND an easy to follow video!
Here are the files you’ll need! Each letter comes regular and also reversed.
