I am so excited to finally show you some extra shots of my honeymoon, courtesy of Aerie! You can read my full blogpost about the behind the scenes of my honeymoon in Riviera Maya, Mexico here and check out my little snippet on Aerie’s blog here. I was fortunate enough to team up with Aerie (you know, the sister company to American Eagle?) to show how their amazing undergarments can work for wedding wear and to style some fun beach wear.
I have been a huge fan of Aerie for forever, really. Are you an addict to Victoria’s Secret 5 for $27 undies deal (who remembers when it was 5 for $25 though, ugh)? Well, I used to be until I discovered way comfier/cuter everyday undies at Aerie so when the team reached out to me I was ecstatic! I told them I was replying while wearing an Aerie bra, to be exact ha!
My dress and fitting weren’t exactly a fairytale story, let me tell you! As much as I wish I could tell you that I fell in love instantly and everything went perfectly and I dreamt about that dress my entire engagement, that just isn’t true. I’m not afraid to admit it wasn’t my dream dress (WHAT!?) and I had some major fit issues. I made a rash decision because I was so nervous about trying dresses on that when one looked decent, I was all for it. Anyway, my upper body is so much smaller than my lower body that we had to really alter the dress to even fit right so I wasn’t pulling my dress up all night. My Aerie The Bare Bra Pushup came in handy for this to help boost me up top and also for this low-back For Love and Lemons dress that I wore during my honeymoon! Not to mention most brides gravitate towards anything and everything WHITE during the engagement for parties, events and more. You really have to find a good couple of nude colored, no-show undies to help you out with that.
I also had the awesome opportunity to try out a couple of Aerie’s summer looks during our honeymoon. I was obsessed with this military green jumper, this high-rise bikini, and wore this Panama hat every single day!
